Halifax Landing was one of the last completed condominium buildings started in the peak years, and it was completed at the early stages of the recession, in 2008, and it affected it. Investors did not close, and sales continued for a long time.
Then they hired the same company, which was hired to sell Marina Grande on the Halifax, and for some strange reason they successfully sold Halifax Landing, but did not have any luck with Marina Grande.
The condo is on the west side of Intracoastal. Gorgeous vistas of Daytona Beach Shores’ skyline from every unit in the building. 10-minute drive to the beach.
188 units total, two- and three-bedroom units. 17 units per floor, double entry doors to each unit, Individual storage bins on each floor, high speed elevators…
At least for now it is not a common location for a high-rise condo. Right now there are several projects in the design stage, which are in the same area, and they would, probably, bring some city look to this rather commercial US-1 road.
There are 10 units for sale in the building as of April 13, 2016. All units for sale today are 2 bedroom/ 2 baths. Starting price is $218K for a larger unit (1,615 sq. ft.), but next unit is already $245,500. It is 1,436 sq. ft., but it is on the 15th floor, the top floor in the building, providing excellent vistas of Daytona Beach Shores skyline, gorgeous view of the Intracoastal and panoramic view of the ocean.
22 units changed hands in Halifax Landing since January 1, 2015 until today. 21 of them 2 bedroom/2 bath starting from $190K (3 units sold for less than $200K) going all the way to $260K for a large (1,615 sq. ft.) unit on the 14 floor, and one 3-bedroom/3 baths, 2,143 sq. ft. on the 4th floor.
We do not see a significant increase in prices, it is still within a normal parameters, as there is commonly a difference between the asking and sold prices, but let’s keep an eye on it for a few more months, and see if this changes this year, or we would need to wait longer for more steam to be generated in the market.
